As soon as we signed on the dotted line for kicking off our new build, I’ve spent more time than I care to admit dreaming about how we’re going to decorate. Social media has been a huge source of inspiration these past few months. I’m finding my aesthetic is somewhat of a mix of modern, minimalist farmhouse with a touch of boho. If you’re unsure what that is, here’s a list of some of my favorite home decor accounts on Instagram (in no particular order).
@STYLINBYAYLIN
While this account shares a lot of fashion inspiration, the home decor style gives me all the heart eyes! I love the aesthetic of her home, with the neutral palette and cozy vibes. Bonus points for her holiday decor being amazing too!
@LINSEYWOODS.HOME
I love all the black, white and wood tones Linsey uses in her home. The black walls and black accent furniture makes the space feel modern, yet still super cozy.
@EMILY.K.LEWIS
I started following Emily forever ago because our daughters are around the same age and I feel like we have similar interests (like I feel like we would be friends IRL). Anyway, Emily will sometimes post a glimpse into her home decor and I LOVE it! Her style is a huge inspiration to me and she tackles a ton of projects herself, which I’m hoping to do, too, once we’re handed our keys to the new place!
@EVERYDAYGRACEDESIGNS
Lindsey is another mom that I started following because of her “mom”content, but I quickly grew to love all the home decor tips and ideas she shared. I love her shelf styling posts because that’s definitely an area I need help with! She also shares a lot about projects she’s working on and has some super cute spaces for her kiddos!
@MYPRACTICEHOME
Not much else to say but how much I love Pam’s home. I immediately gave a follow after I came across her profile because her style and projects seem so attainable for an average mom like myself! Don’t you love when you find accounts like that?
@DIARIESOFMYHOME
I originally came across Nina on TikTok and found myself liking so many of her posts there that I knew I also needed to follow her on Instagram. She shares so many simple (and budget-friendly) decor ideas that look amazing!!
@NEWBUILD_NEWLYWEDS
Another account I originally came across on TikTok and knew I needed to follow on Instagram. Kelsey and Ryan are couple goals when it comes to customizing their builder grade home. I’ve loved so many of the projects they’ve tackled and hope to try a few of them out myself on our new build.
@THEBLUSHHOME
TikTok’s just filled with amazing home decorators so it shouldn’t surprise you that I came across Megan’s content there first, too. Similar to the accounts shared above, Megan has a good mix of black, white and wood tones in her home. Her kitchen is sooo dreamy and I’m envious of her amazing bathtub!
@THEHILLARYSTYLE
I’m not sure I would have said this a year ago, but I’m OBSESSED with the bold pops of black throughout Hillary’s home. We (or I) decided to not tile our fireplace in our new build and I’m seriously contemplating painting it black to give a fun pop of color to our primarily white/light gray open concept kitchen/dining room/living room.
@WITHINTHEGROVE
Liz’s DIYs are what drew me to her account. Her recent pantry transformation has me itching to make that my first DIY in the new house. Similar Hillary’s home, Liz uses pops black frequently in her home and let me tell you, I’m here for it!
There’s so many other great accounts that I follow that I know I’m forgetting. These are just a few that I’ve enjoyed recently. If you have any recommendations for where to find good home design and decor (either blogs or on social media), leave me the link in the comments!
